Degree in Architecture (Princeton), studied art with Frank Reilly (Art Student's League). Best known for magazine (especially Men's titles like Adventure and Man's Magazine) and book illustrations (Pocket, Signet, Dell, Bantam). Handled a number of subjects, including early 50s sci-fi (Arthur C Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Phillip K Dick, Andre Norton), as well as themes concerning war, romance, western, crime.
