John McDermott
(1919 - 1977)
Began at Disney in 1930s. After WW2 service, returned to find work in the magazine field, notably men's slicks like Argosy, True, Cavalier, and Male, but also paperback covers. Often chosen to depict military, action, and horror subjects. As a writer, published four novels, one of which became the movie Loving, for which he also supplied the paintings "done" by George Segal's character on screen.
